The purpose of the role is to support the team across a variety of financial tasks. Duties will include all aspects of day to day accounting including financial reporting, analysis and budgets. In addition to provide financial management and provision of timely and accurate information and to assist strategic decision-making. Ensuring the efficient and transparent management programme finances in line with recognized accounting/auditing standards and uphold procedures, as well as the development of new systems to support a growing programme.

Job Description
Develop and streamline and enhance financial management and reporting
Manage the processing of all payments and income
Timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports in accordance with the GAAP and the IAS - Ensure all donor reports are audited in a timely manner and respond to management letters or all letters of weakness.
Ensure compliance of all statutory requirements
Oversee treasury and banking function
Analyse financial results, including corrective action to address adverse performance
Provide timely and robust financial analysis to support management decision making
Manage and maintain the Federation sub ledgers
Oversee the management and monitoring of accounts
Review resources, including land and buildings, Motor vehicles, equipment and assist in maximizing returns on assets and or investments
Manage all HR matters including contracts, payroll, insurance etc
Ensure compliance to tax and labour statutory obligations are adhered to e.g. NAPSA, PAYE, Registrar of Societies, leave days, etc
Manage internal and external audits by providing documents and responding to audit queries that arise
Manage the processing of cheques and code expenditure (travel, advances, imprest and purchase requisition) Documenting financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organisation, ensuring expenditures are coded correctly.
Ensure the review and reconciliation analysis of fuel and mileage in vehicle log sheets for all project vehicles are done on a monthly basis.

Bachelors Degree in Accounting & Finance, near completion of ACCA/CIMA
Software
Excellent computer skills especially in spreadsheet & data analysis (Excel & Access) and familiarity with accounting software is preferred

US funded , DFID and other donor funded experience; reporting and analytics and providing meaningful insights; working on Financial systems
Skills To
Excellent organizational & communications skills; Strong analytical skill in budget preparation and making financial analysis
