The Monitoring and Evaluation Lead will be responsible for leading the overall monitoring and evaluation related tasks for all projects through designing and implementing a comprehensive monitoring framework. This include collecting and tracking regular progress updates and informing management through formal reporting aspects aiming at strengthening the quality of the organisation's initiatives and the internal capacity of it's team.

Job Description
Review existing Monitoring and Evaluation systems, tools and indicators in use by the organisation and relevant partners, identify sources of data already available and flow of information
Develop and implement the M&E framework for the organisation's projects to generate regular information related to demonstrate progress
Provide technical oversight of applied research activities to ensure rigorous assessment of outcomes and impact (including tasks related to: sampling; developing study designs, protocols, and data collection tools; conducting analyses; synthesizing results; and disseminating findings in high-quality presentations, reports, and publications)
Manage the execution of a discrete choice of methodologies and tools, especially adapted for use in rural and urban areas
Develop common indicators for data collection, design data collection tools/ templates, and assist for regular data collection/generation process
Provide technical support to project staff on implementing the M&E plan and logical framework
Liaise with project staff to collect and analyse data and to determine progress achieved
Track project's output and outcome level results on the periodic basis in close coordination with project's implementing team as well as with partners organizations
Review and compile monitoring reports, project progress reports, evaluation reports, photographs, case studies video documentaries, power point presentation, etc.
Update and maintain the project database.
Provide technical support to staff members for all M&E related activities
Train staff members on M&E concepts, skills and tools
Contribute to design TOR, training materials, communication materials for project and M&E System
Create an environment that fosters innovation and innovative thinking
Make the case for innovative ideas from the team documenting successes and building them into the design of new approaches
Undertake the quality control of project's implementing strategies and approaches
Assist project team to prepare period reports of project through providing M&E related information
Timely preparation of sound analytical documents with well-reviewed and sound positions on areas evaluated, assessment on the impact and effectiveness of the project
Sharing knowledge across the organization and building a culture of knowledge sharing and learning

Education Level
Masters Degree
Qualifications
Masters degree in public health, economics, statistics, or a related field and minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience
Software
Management information systems and statistical software packages such as SPSS, Stata, or equivalent.

Developing and implementing comprehensive M&E systems, especially for grant-funded projects.
Skills To
Applied research, including designing impact evaluations, qualitative assessments and/or operational research projects in developing countries
Ability To
Coordinate and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to influence change, inspire teamwork, and efficiently achieve results
Personality
Excellent written and verbal communication as well as diplomatic and interpersonal skills
