Our Client, seeks a Regional Industrial Project Manager Capex for Lusaka, Zambia to strategically plan and manage Capex projects, and provide leadership and support to achieve the groups business objectives in Australe Africa (Zambia, Botswana, eSwatini, and Mozambique). Must be mobile (could stay 2 - 3 weeks to follow projects). At least 4 years post qualification job experience in a food maintenance environment and at least 2 years experience in a FMCG environment.

Job Description
Manage projects CAPEX with the local team to assemble, upgrade, renew and improve plants and production lines (from design to installation and commissioning), coordinating and monitoring any activity performed by external resources / suppliers
Minimise the cost of plant operation by analysis utilities usage and saving opportunity on all 4 countries.
Evaluate quality of work done by outside contractors and internal project teams
Supply infrastructure at different plants to support the maintenance and development needs (liaise with Technical support in France).
Define technical specifications related to the purchasing of technical material, spare parts, equipment and technical services
Collaborate with Purchasing Department, contributing to negotiation and suppliers qualification
Collaborate with R&D Department for feasibility analysis, prototyping and new products / new processes engineering and industrialization
Evaluate the financial, productivity and business viability of technical systems, identify problem areas
Provide support to the technical manager of the factories in case of important breakdown
Study international dairy, or other relevant production methods and make recommendations
Review professional publications
Benchmark against industry leaders and other state-of-the-art practices
