Job Description
Development of both Sales & Marketing Staff through the means of a Competency Development Plan which will encompass training plans, coaching and mentoring the staff in order to fall in line with the overall Companies execution of a Sales & Marketing strategy that will promote business sustainability.
Budgets & Costs: Must have the ability to set annual vehicle sales budgets together with appropriate action plans to support the budget, and do monthly variance analysis to monitor actual results achieved versus budgeted targets.
Effectively manage the vehicle sales departments to meet monthly sales targets that will be in line with the overall companies yearly budgets
Monthly monitoring of unit sales Gross Profit margins as well as departmental costs so that they are in line with the companies budgets
Together with the Marketing Department do monthly analysis of the Zambia Automotive market, competitors and customer trends in order to identify business opportunities. Once analysed, advise management of any proposed action plans or counter measures for implementation in order to take advantage of these opportunities. This will include areas such as Model Line Up reviews, RSP & CEP Price analysis, etc.
Supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of units in country to ensure improved service delivery to our customers.
Effective in country stock management to ensure availability of units, however ensuring that we avoid overdue ageing stocks as per management and shareholders guidelines. This will include monitoring of stocks, sign off of new orders and liaising with the finance team in lines of finance ability at the time of ordering.
Effectively manage and guide the sales team in identifying potential customers and market segments through on-going prospecting and customer follow ups for improved business performance and market share growth.
Implement standardised sales processes and tools that support the effective performance of the department and organisation at large
Networking: Maintain, develop and promote effective relationships with all key stakeholders in business as well as develop effective relationships with local advertising and marketing companies in order to partner with them to promote the companies Brand Image, new product offerings, etc.
Shareholder and Manufacturers adherence to monthly reporting requirements in order to keep them informed of current market information by means of Sales and Marketing reports, RSP analysis, monthly sales tracking, above and below the line marketing activities, planned marketing campaigns or promotions, etc.
Responsible for country wide Sales Support to the various branches by means of bimonthly branch visits to enhance Sales Development and customers support visits
Ability to coordinate and manage multibrands in a professional manner and in line with the manufacturers standards.
Responsible for vehicle debtors book and overall timeous collection of customer payments for vehicles.
Develop and generate new business opportunities. Understands clients needs and expectations.
